The headlines – 4. Sept. 2008

McCain and Palin continue to attract the attention of social news site readers; Reddit-users continue to write overly long titles, titles continue to feature typos extensively, and Propeller continues to surprise – this time with practical advice on how to insure an olympic gold medal (oh, and, how to win one in the first place).

A bit of disclaimer, too: these headlines here are from either the “elections,” “politics” or, in the case of Propeller, “general news” pages of the sites, and they are unfiltered (in my research, I take the 8 most popular articles within each category and select the 4 most popular of these that actually deal with the election campaign, whereas here you can just read whatever got to the relevant section home page, whether or not it has anything to do with the elections).
