The headlines – 9. Sept 2008

That TechCrunch-article last week was quite a boon. Not only did it cause a 2000% increase in the readership of this blog (well the basis wasn’t too high, as you have probably guessed it), but it also inspired a comment which you might find interesting. This might really start to sound boring, but I will return to the problem of independent blogs as relevant primary news sources soon.

In the meantime, here are the headlines from yesterday from Digg, Reddit, Newsvine and Propeller. Oh yes, I also wanted to point something out about the dates. I always survey the news output of the previous 24 hours, fetching data from all of the sites at 7am Finnish time – that is, at midnight Eastern Time. I keep track of when I downloaded the news, but this means that they always refer to the previous day – i.e. what you can read below are the headlines that appeared on the surveyed sites on the 8th of September. Sorry about the confusion.
